So once again I join the ranks of "page 2 slackers".

I (literally) dug out this Hardrock that the armadillos had buried in the dirt a few years back. I figured I would add some special Kent tubing from a step thru frame and my wife's bow saw (the brick will not be used - I hope). I'm not sure where this is going but it should be good for a laugh or at least a "tisk-tisk-tisk we told you so" moment.
Looks like GIGI, my other Build, will be put on the back burner - again......I think this will be fun.....

great bike - sorta hate to see it modded. Nothin better than a 90s full rigid mtb frame.

I know, right? I struggled hard to decide to cut up a complete vintage Specialized bike. Specially if the mods don't work out, it'll be ruined for no gain. I also have a bare KHS frame thats all CrMO tubing but the same thing, regret cutting it up. If I can find something else to use before the "wheel of death" takes over, I'll use it..........

Thanx for your input @ifitsfreeitsforme. I didn't want to cut up the Hardrock either so I went to the local repurpose place and found this Huffy frame for super cheap. It has triangular shaped top and down tubes o_O. I also got 2 matching band saws and so I feel I at least have some direction. (no, the brick will not be used for this build - I hope!)

I always wanted a bike with elevated chain stays. Those bikes may seem gimmicky but I have wanted one none the less but could not justify the $$ when they were first introduced. I am exploring using a front fork to fab one up. Rough mock up below.

I am (very!) open to suggestions for a name 'cause I got nuth'n.......

Thanx for the suggestion. My aspirations will quickly turn in to the blues when I taco the frame and end up w/ stitches in my chin......:)
 
Those saws are just screaming to become a lowrider schwinn springer fork. :D

"Elevated Status". Which might be a phrase coined in the ICU after you crash and burn on that bow saw custom fork. :grin: :bigsmile:
