Lofty Blues? That's a cool idea for a frame!

I got some 2.4” whitewalls. They look good and fill up the fenders better. I’ve got white or chrome S2s to choose from. I think I prefer the chrome ones. The white ones have a nice patina but look a little too yellow to me. I also tried this old car fog lamp. I think it looks pretty cool.

I will do that. The calculator has a value for S2 rims but I’d like to verify. I’m going to measure tomorrow. I’m too tired today and I don’t want to screw up too bad.

Thanks twojs, I appreciate it. I'm going to use this calculator: Does anyone know if all Schwinn S2s are the same measurements?

My Sturmey Archer 5 speed drum hub was still jammed up and had the freewheel remover stuck in it. I had installed the tool with the axle nut holding it in place. With the drum in the vice this seemed to break the freewheel loose but it wouldn’t come free. It was spinning the axle nuts and...

After some research it seems that swapping the cogs is not going to be easy or practical and may not fit. So it would be easier to build the Higgins hub into the S2 wheel. If I’m building a wheel then I would like more than 1 gear. I spent 40 minutes locating my Ichi skip tooth adapter cog...

Go for it. I borrowed it myself, from Laura Kampf on YouTube. She builds lots of great stuff, including bikes.

I’m just researching some options here, thinking about converting this old S2 to skip tooth. I’ve never disassembled a coaster hub before. Is there a technique for getting the cog off? I’ve removed the retaining nuts, they loosen clockwise. I think the cog loosens counter clockwise, is that...

It's cool you have a great selection of parts at the ready. The patina matches but I kind of like the nanner idea better now that I can get a visual on both. Are you going for a board tracker kind of a build or just whatever feels right as you go along?

That does look cool. Depending on the stylistic direction you're thinking about, a crusty long spring saddle with no upholstery might look good too.

Those gas pipe bars definitely play well with the frame and forks. 👍

    UNLIMITED Ratneck Rampage

I think it depends on the main color of the bike. For monochromatic I kind of like the purple. For a black frame I'd lean towards the green. I like red rims but it sort of depends on the frame color. The style of the frame is really cool and would look great with a bright paint job.

I like 'em both. No help here, sorry. 🤔
