Thanks, I miss these build offs and the camaraderie!!! I sold my California house last year and put everything in storage and have been traveling. I'm currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Perhaps, next year I'll be back for BO13?

Guess you're not in Kansas any more? Wasn't that were you moved to for a while? Hope you are having a great time in Rio. For some reason a song from the 8 track days popped in my head. "Go to Rio" by Pablo Cruise. Great to hear from you again brother and no matter where you are living next year I sure hope you join us for Lucky 13!!!!!!

I am pretty happy with how well the screwed together roof flashing worked on the tank. It wraps the Ruff top tube nicely and looks cool from the top and the bottom.

Took the bike out for a ride and saw this girl having a photoshoot done, so I offered up Rockafella as a prop.

Here are some more pics of Rockafella from my ride yesterday. I love how the tank looks from underneath in some of the shots.

And in case anyone was wondering. There are 237 days until the next St Pat's Parade in Savannah.

Love the"gumby" and white..you really have to look to see its not some old school frame..

Mission accomplished! It's funny you should say that. I can't tell you how many people told me how much they liked my "old" bike yesterday. When I was talking the photo across the street from Pinkie Masters, one lady was walking by and said "Your old bike is beyond beautiful!"

Next on the list is getting the guard mounted. Already fabricated a rear bracket from my trusting portable bed spring steel.

The the front bracing actually lines up with the downtube which would make a bracket hard to do. Instead I am going to go for a cleaner route and tap a screw into the downtube itself and use a spacer.

Thankfully this guard is big enough up front that i can mount it high to visually allign the fender struts with the guard striping. This will offset the downward angle of the normal chainline for these Ruff frames. (This is still a mockup)

One year ago yesterday, I received the wicked bars that Adam (@karfer67 ) made for SaltHammer. Appropriately, I also received this picture from him yesterday.

Ha! What a great story she will have when showing her senior pics. " I was taking pictures and some guy with this SWEET bike asked if I wanted to use it for for a prop, and..."

Btw... I gotta get to Savanah... looks like one cool town.

SoulGarageOH, forgot a word.

KF, smart man not asking for a pic without the bike.

Rolled Rockafella out to start working on a check list of what is left.

Needed to decide of I needed to extend the rear fender to fill in the Ruff Dean frame space below the chainline. I have had these Monark fender chunks that I bought from @Majestic_B6 a few years back. I sprayed them with the gumby paint yesterday to visually test fit them.

So here is the left side without the extension

Another thing that I noticed looking at the left side of the build is the huge white space of the backside of the guard. I think I mirror the green upper rear painted section from the right side of the guard to the left side.

I like the extension on the fender fills in the gap nice

I go back and forth with it. One reason that I am not completely sold on it yet is that the wheel and fender curve don't really match the seattube curve, so you end up with a tapered distance between the seattube and the fender.

Sometime in the next 14 days this accessory idea will hopefully come to fruition

see what you mean didn't notice that on my quick look,
1- wish you were closer could maybe shrink it around for ya?
2- just a thought if you follow the fender with frame how much would you need to trim off fender could just use some black tape to see if the fender would look weird tapered? which it may just thinkin out loud
or if you do it to the bottom of chain would at least fill in some? seems that's where it really kicks in to frame closer below chain

I like the look of the extensions but I see what you mean by not following the seat tube curve . Maybe shorten The fender couple inches. It will not be so drastic that way . Won't be perfect but shouldn't be as noticeable. Bike is looking great & not just because of the cute girl . [emoji6]

I like the extension, but I think it should extend more. Down to the stay.
As shown, there's still a gap. It just doesn't seem to flow.
