Build Thread: http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/cheep-teena-completed-tons-o-photos.106544/

Cheep Teena is an exercise in using only readily available parts that can be obtained cheaply and easily and making them look like something custom that may have been around in this state for many years. What if a kid in the 50s took a Phantom-esque bike, hot rodded it by stripping the non-essentials, spray bombed it, then parked it for 60 years? I’d like to think you’d end up with something like this.

Build sheet:
-‘80 Schwinn frame, stem, headset, crank assembly, seat clamp, chain, badge, chainguard
-100th Anniversary tank, stringer fork fenders
-Electra bars, drop center rims front hub, spokes
-Thompson coke bottles and patina’d Leather seat
-Duro brickyard tires
-Stingray style pedals-Schwinn red stripe hub
-RRB “Chopper Rally” plate
-five different rustoleum rattle cans, hand patina’d every single component
-all brass hardware

Detail photos to come. Hope you all enjoy it. Please weigh in if you think there’s a better lead photo.

Lots and lots of detail shots. Lots of brass hardware, no open threads or holes, every part patina’d in some way

I like the last photo in the first group. The dark wood in the background really shows of the lines of the bike.

The bike has a very unified look to it. It all works together very well!

Great paintina work
Killer rat
Congrats

Hmmm. Maybe I should have switched them when I had the chance...

I voted for your ride it sits very well and the "patina" looks great as well.
