My favorite bike a dump find, I think she may be 1950's or even 40's.
Note the BSA crank, a lot of Melvern Stars had these apparently, non
original seat, rims and stand. Love her just the way she is perfect
patina and thats how she will stay!

Yes it is for the pump, there would be another lower down pointing upwards
