Hey Everybody,

I just started reading a book called "The Lost Cyclist"
http://urbanvelo.org/book-review-the-lost-cyclist/

I was curious about Lenz's bike after looking at HotRodRob's Fat Flyte
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=48548
Its a truly stylish bike 8)
HRRob posted some interesting info on CCM bikes

Yoothgeye also posted a picture of another high style fork
viewtopic.php?f=60&t=43732&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15

Lenz's used a 1891 Victor C Cushion Tire bike
The fork looks similar but is suspension and curves downward

I really like how they built that springer fork too
It has a seemingly short frame and very upright seating position
The tires were hollow rubber but none pneumatic

Since some of people here put together really innovative spring forks,
thought it might be worth seeing what others thought

Thanks for looking

Re: 1982 Lenz world tour on Victor C bike

Thanks Guys for the input.
Yoothgeye, you've got a strange mind
And good skills at photoshop

Without a photo about the fork, this thread wasn't going too hot, sorry

The pegs are for your feet.... Freewheel hubs had not been invented yet.

Such a cool bike this one has a rear spoon brake. I believe that Lenz's bike had the same as the fork had to much movement

for a front brake.

Great book by the way
