So team what I like to build is a nice motorized bmx bikes
using 79cc (3hp) hf predator motor.
I see tons of weedeater motors ones and friction ones.but I'm going for the center motor builds.
now i have about 50 bmx frames right now and all have some different degisn.
So I plan on building a few for me and my3boys.team I need your help on this project please. for this thread give your thoughts and feed back.
also like to keep these builds under 300 bucks not counting price of bike.
There are lot of you out there that have great builds and are very smart.

What size bmx fram were u thinking? My 48cc skyhawk, doesn't look like it woud fit veru well on my old 20" bmx. You might need a 24" bmx bike from the 80s with a larger center space to tie the engine in. The full kits with everything u need are readily available. Its a matter of going thru the install steps and making what custom mounts for tying it in.

These will be 20 inch frame builds there will be some cutting and welding done
Plan on tanks be on top of top bar

with the piston on the side on this one , will it still work fine if you mount it up right ? also i see the crank would end up facing down? i don't know much about engines , i hope it works great, will keep a eye open trying to learn a little :angelic:
have you chosen the right bmx for the job yet?

Yes look at about 50 frames I have and this mongoose will do it has a 2 inch bar that round so looks will work great when I cut it.was goin use my predator bike but hate not to work and lose my child hood bike lol

Cool build, which leads me to brakes, where are they?
3 horse should be more than capable of 40 mph. Caliper brakes are not going to handle that.
You will need disc brakes, downhill mtb. disc brakes!
I can post my scar reward from no brakes!
Also for safety sake I strongly recommend a centrifugal clutch.

^--- brakes I'll be using a drum style brake I think for the front and disk for the rear haven't figure that far ahead yet.... I do own a pair of wolverine boots
