Made another 4 hour round trip night run to get a bike. This time it was to Charleston to get this 1949 Schwinn straight bar. I have a couple of Schwinn DX bikes, but this is my first straight bar Schwinn.

that Schwinn straight bar is sweet!!! I was about to say klunker but im thinking maybe keep it as is it looks complete and in decent shape. nice score.
I think someone here told me that straight bar like that is what's called a model c but I am uncertain on that just a guess. it is sweet though and it is already ratrod colored maybe some whitewalls

This bike was the owners rainy day bike (because of the fat fenders) throughout his time at College of Charleston. It's definitely a rat.
It's running an unusual gearing with 36T front and a tiny 13T cog rear.

A couple of weeks ago I found a 2008 Trek 1.2 road bike by just asking at a yard sale if they had any bikes for sale. It was only ridden 4 times and had been closet kept so it was showroom new condition. Paid $350, put air in the tires and dusted it off, just Sold for $680.

Those good spoke guys like road bikes !
Can't beat that deal double down in savanna town !

Got my 3G Checkerboar 57mm Wheels with a 2 Speed Kickback hub in today. These are gonna be fun.
Got the white rim strip too.
