The chain ring should be easy to get straight. I've fixed a lot of them using a bench vice.

That bike has a great looking tank . It's deserves some new shoes , clay brick would look nice .

Agreed, except I think creme colored tires would match up nicely.

I think the US Royal Chain whitewall repops that are floating around would look 'proper' on it. Double Nickle knows where to get them.

Definitely going to try the bench vice technique.

It doesn't appear to be too bad, but it's causing the chain to do some crazy stuff.

I managed to get the rear tire off without any damage. It was actually easier than I had anticipated. Installed a new tube and now it's all good.

I also had a new fork tube welded on and got the front end back in shape. That old bent up tube was too far gone to salvage. I managed to get the bike put back together this weekend and took a few pics.

I still need to overhaul the rear hub and find some correct JC Higgins pedals for the bike. I have one, but it's pretty bent up.

Oh...and yes, I mounted the headlight upside down on purpose.

That's funny, I thought crooked meant it was a keeper.

I literally think of you Clancy every single time I install bike tires.
