Yes, I got the Raleigh, unfortunately there is only one of the wing nuts and its metric. If someone can use it, they can have it

Yay, more parts. I brought home this 27 inch raleigh record for a future English trike project. I didnt know it was 27 inch but thats ok, it will give it more of a chopper rake. Anyways, as I was stripping it, I tried the front brake on the phillips and it works. Front is a center pull and...

Can someone tell me what Schwinn this is. Never seen one

Im going to head out in the garage for some shop time today. Since this bike is too far gone and unfeasible to restore to original, I think Im going to strip it and save the frame and any useable parts for another day. I have some interesting ideas for it but probably the most realistic thing...

The more I look into a schwinn build I want to go a different direction That I dont have the parts or money for. So Im going to leave the Phillips as is and call it done Unless I can get a front brake for it. It makes a great local errand bike and it gets some interesting looks. People look at...

I saw that page and started look8ng deeper at the bike. It was completely chemically stripped except under the headbadge. It was a beautiful red. Hub is a 55 so Im wondering if it was the original wheel set. Also bars look different than the catalog shows so it may have been ratrodded decades...

The Money Shot. Only had enough for twelve but it can haul 3 of these. All of my bikes are built with a purpose in mind. This one will definitely be used for grocery runs and I wont worry about finding a stray shopping cart slammed into it

According to my calculations, I can carry 45 beers on this bike. Since they wont let me drink 3 in front of the store, I might have to try with 3 12 packs. Oh yeah, changed the stem and bars and it fits me a lot better. Not really sure what else I want to do with it except go get beer. It...

The tires came off one of my road bikes when a pinch flat broke one of the wire strands inside. Theres a lot of duct tape in there so it doesnt pop any more tubes. Its either these or black and blue tires, i like these better

Today I added the baskets and made a run to the mailbox. Handlebars are too close for me. I have to dig through and see what else I have

I played with it a little more. I didnt have any other brakes so drilled the brake bridge and put the rear on. Then I just drilled the back of the fork but my front brake isnt long enough. I still need to repack the headset and come up with cable straps. Im already thinking its going to be a...

Aahh haaa, made Mucho Progress today. Got the rotted bottom bracket out that was full of sand and put in a sealed cartridge out of the fixie that the wheels came from. Drive train is complete. Tried the pump out too. It fits but then it covers up the shield and the Made in England decals...

It brutally windy today so my ride was cut short. Did some digging in the garage and found the seat I was looking for along with a rack I might use. I also spotted a Raleigh frameset I buried and forgot about. I will have to move a bunch of stuff to dig it out but the headset looks nice. I...

And as far as the seat, Im pretty sure I have a repop hairpin saddle somewhere. I have the toolbag for it so it has to be here. The way it sits at an angle, I think it will be parallel with the back part of the top tube

Is anyone else experimenting with recumbent bikes?

I read about the revives, very similar to the bike E geometry. There are many benefits that will keep people on bikes for a while longer when diamond frames are no longer feasible. I would love a catrike myself. Its an amazing ride but it cost more than my motorcycle.

I do have a brushed aluminum pump on my 66 Raleigh that fits it. I planned to use it for the final pics. But for now, I think I might have to put this off till after May is over. I will have a lot more time then. May is National bike month and Im riding as much as I can every day. Did...
