I have that same frame on a MTD badged, Columbia built muscle bike. It has a BMA/6 sticker. Would post a picture but I have never been able to figure out how.

Is the hole for the front mount of the chainguard on the top of the bb or on the bottom?

Definately Huffy, but I don't think Cheater Slick. Has the longer Seat post frame extension with reflector bracket. Probably mid 70's, like 76 or 77.

Scott, that is nice!! I have one with the 56 on top like that, and 2 of mine do not have the orange border. I have seen some with the chain ring guard like that, with those fender stripes, but have never owned one. I am thinking it may also be a regional thing, as there seem to be differences...

I like it ! Sure looks like a Huffy Thunder Trail copy, check out lopo68's 1978 Thunder Trail in the Fresh Finds forum. Frame is different, but the styling is spot-on.
