I have a rack on my trailer and use an older version of these: http://www.yakima.com/shop/bike/roof/raptoraero I cut off the portion that has the factory strap (still using the piece that goes into the channel) and then use heavy duty velcro and mount to the hold down where the old straps were...

Digging the doggles, have to see if he'll give up his CHiPs Poncharellos.... Copying is the greatest form of flattery, I've been longing to add cut off bat mufflers to a ride since seeing Rusty513's Hot Rod Huffy build off last year...

    Serial Number Decoding

Picked up a Hawthorne and trying to date it based on the serial number. Here are the numbers under the bottom bracket: D43323 AC (with small w in the C- I assume Cleveland Welding). Can anyone date this based on the number provided- tried to web search the decoding with no luck. Thanks, Pete

Thanks Luke! Good thing we are only two days into the build off- just realized the tires I bought for the trailer must have shrunk. Ordered 12" when I should have ordered 16". Order placed and moving the 12" to the "for sale" section.

Measured the clearance needed for the chain ring in preparation of first cuts- plan on lowering the seat and adding top tube. Seat uprights cut and mock set up, dropped seat 7 inches.
