(BOTEN) "OUTLAW" ...Withdrawn from the build-off...

I've bailed on a build off before so I totally understand. i wound up building it on my own time, the way it needed to be...wound up with a great bike. The one my GF always wants to ride. You could use a break, we all understand. Built it when it feels right.

Thanks for all the great comments guys! It weighs a ton but rides super smooth and easy... I'll be putting it to good use sooner rather than later ;)

Glad to be of service! The BO is always a great source of inspiration. If you haven't seen kingfish's build, you should check that out. He did a sealed beam/LED conversion! Awesome stuff.

I had to mix and match parts from two different sets of Torrington 10s to get a properly functioning set. image by LowpowerD, on Flickr I ended up using this boring off the shelf headlight mount. I feel like I needed the height it provided to project over the basket and what ever's in it...

    Musicians participating in the Build-Off

Wow, I hope you've got some awesome amps to go with those sweet guitars! I can tell you my 58 vos loves to be blasted through the JTM 45 copy I made with a range master clone between them...straight up John Mayall's blues breakers w/Eric Clapton tones going on there! I used to play in a reggae...

I use "cycle truck" as a generic term. There's not much info out there about Ross bikes, so your best guess is probably as good as mine. If I remember right, your's is flat black with green pin striping and a spiderweb welded into the frame? It's the only other one of these that I've ever heard...

Yeah, one of these days your going to have to build me a cool sidecar to go with it ;)

I got it back from powder coat today so we're going to see a flurry of wrenches real soon! Found these split rivets at the hardware store: image by LowpowerD, on Flickr image by LowpowerD, on Flickr

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Not really a "how to", I just like to take some work in progress pics so you guys know that I'm actually working on this thing. That's if I can calm down long enough to get the camera out ;) Always remember that LEDs have polarity so it will only light up...

Ok, ok, ok...I'm ready now. image by LowpowerD, on Flickr After recovering the saddle tonight I'm feeling much better about this build. Reprofiled the rear of the chain guard to fit around the small chainring and into the frame. Got a "correct" stem (thanks schwinnspastic), but I think I'm...

Good job. You getting it now! I'm in the same boat as you, it's much easier for me to spin wrenches than use computers. I'm interested in knowing how you got the fabric/suede to stick to the metal bits. Details please.

Finally got back to tackling the seat...not sure of it's durability but I'll give it a try until I can do up a more permanent solution. This is what I did for the single pan: image by LowpowerD, on Flickr Pan, felt, bandana and 3M headliner glue. image by LowpowerD, on Flickr image by...

Digging your build... Just be careful with bumps and potholes, you know how easy 12ax7s become micro phonic ;)

My ideas for the seat didn't pan out. I got frustrated and had to step away for awhile. But now I'm back in the saddle again... Ok, enough bad puns. I made this frame plate at work tonight: image by LowpowerD, on Flickr I'll test fit it when I get home. If it will ever stop raining for long...

    "MotoDromo Special" FINISHED!

http://s934.photobucket.com/user/jrubenstein42/media/MDCSpecial10-1.jpg.html I like the sissy bar a lot. Seems to add some continuity to the over all bike. Do you ever read The Horse Back Street Choppers magazine?
