46' DX Klunker quick build

Built a klunker with this frame back in '07, and it was my main bike ever since.

Nexus 3 speed
Dirtbike bars
Holy rollers
Ashtabula cranks...

My wife kind of took it over as her own, and so I stripped it down and gave it a quick re paint...

Primed it in 2007 with etching primer, and painted some scallops.
Here it is before stripping:



Stripped...



Quick primer coat and a bit of red for the front:



Applied some stencils,
And painted the rest of the frame and fork antique white...




Re assembled with a bunch of old parts and a new chain...








See! I told you it was quick!

Love it! Nice and simple. I'm going through a '53 DX right now cleaning it up and gonna try to save the original paint, opposite colors of yours. It's covered in black paint right now, but nice patina'd red is showing through.

The bars are reproduction vintage bultaco bars, and are very wide...
Tires are maxxis holy rollers...
