We had a great time today! I took my 11 year old daughter and we spent the day playing games, riding bikes, hanging out with bike folks, and grubbing on Grillmaster Mitch's fine cuisine.

I gave Hannah my camera to document the day's events and here is what she captured.

Good Pictures Hannah! Know that the forum cuts the pictures a little, just a heads up on the group picture, everyone is in it and she's a great photographer. Just right-click it and open it in new window to see everyone in the rat rod pictures.

As LowpowereD has already said, we had a wonderful time (I've got sun burns to prove it) and we are looking forward to coming again next year.

I got to meet the little guy that rides this. I'm bad at judging age, but I would guess 3 or 4 years old. And a Rat Rodder to the core. He told me his bike flies!

Ok, Im gonna have to pull out the stops for next year, Cant let Cameron do a "three-peat"on us. Even though Ill be busy cooking dogs... Ill have to drop what Im doing and take care of some business. :mrgreen: The "King" must be overthrown!!!! :lol:

WOW! Another great MW Bike Fest, Thank You, Randy and family, Mitch, Cameron, the Sponsors, and everyone else who worked to make this such a great event. Big Thanks to everybody that brought out all those cool bikes.

Pick and his RRBBO6 bike the Bad Apple, was my pick for Dangerous Dans Choice Kustom. GIVE ME THAT BIKE!

And after all the door prizes were given out and I didnt win anything, and having only bought 3 raffle tickets, one for the Brooks saddle, one for the yellow Sting Ray, and one for the black Schwinn, I figured my chances of winning were almost zero. The Brooks saddle was a no win, the Sting Ray was a no win, and the last drawing of the day was for the black Schwinn and I WON. YEA. Thats the best $1 I have ever spent on a bike.

Can,t hardly wait for the next years MW Bike Fest.

Randy will have to confirm this since he has the voting sheets, but I believe the People's choice Classic was a very tight race... I think there were four bikes tied for the top spot? VERY VERY close voting!

Dan, thanks for making that cool trophy! And uh... I guess great minds think alike? to explain... Both Dan and I chose the Bad Apple for our awards... The Grillmaster's choice Ratrod, and Dangerous Dan's Kustom... Im glad I picked a backup bike this year!

Save The baby competition.

Once the baby has been saved it has to be put back in harms way for the next competitors. Udallcustombikes helping with the event and catching the tossed baby to put it back. To quote the Emcee of the fest "this is why we don't play with real babies"

This was the final heat and the bmx guy used some dirty blocking tactics on Superman for the win. Stuff like this makes for a good show.

A special thanks to all responsible for putting on the Midwest Bike Fest. What a bunch of awesome bikes & a very well organized event. A special Thank You to Dan, for the awesome trophy! I am honored & flattered to win it! I've always wanted a piece of Dan's artwork. He is a real craftsman. I have a special place in my home for it & since I have no other trophies, it will be the center of attention!
