I just started a tall build, using a dump cruiser that was stashed behind my shed.

After some cutting and grinding, ended up with this...

hum.. that frame you have going there looks real neat..
makes me think not another Tall bike..
but instead a XXXL Bike  lols!

if you made it look like a Monark and or like a schwinn canti frame with the 2x tubes and even made it a large tank..
like make it look like a HUGE crusier :D
that would be aweosme man!

Nice work, I love it. I haven't ridden any of my tall bikes since spring. I'd junk 3 of my double high's just for one like yours. I'll be watching this one very close. Throw a number at us to give us an idea how tall this one will be. How high is the center of the bottom bracket off the ground with the tires aired up?

That milk crate is approx. 10 1/2 inches off the ground.
The tube coming off the bottom of the bottom bracket is 22".
I'm figuring that it's the equivalent of a frame on top of frame...
The seat will be maybe 5 - 5 1/2 feet off the ground... I'll measure it when it's done to get a proper measurement.

Worked on this a bit today...

These pieces will be the rear stays...

They'll get welded onto the frame kind of like this:

Here's how it sits now...

Still need to weld on the stays, and figure out my rear dropouts... Then test ride...

Welded the rear stays on this afternoon...
Just need to cut out some rear dropouts and weld them on...
Then I will reassemble for a dry run... Hopefully tomorrow, but it's been raining here in Maine today, so we'll see...

If the test ride goes good, then I will need to disassemble for paint...
This is always hard for me, because I will want to keep riding!

Went out for some late night winter riding last night...
Still need to strip it down and paint it. It also has a lot of dump parts on it that should be replaced, like the wheels, tires, etc... october
