Hello there.
So since my failed build off project for a cargo bike I still wanted build a cargo to transport beer for my mates.
This time I've decided to ask one of my buddies to bend and weld the frame for me since I wanted it to be made of aluminium. So as always for me the start is a 3D model

From there I get a 2D sketch

And the magic starts

And this is the actual state.
24x3.45 rear wheel and 8 speed hub
20x2 front wheel and a dynamo hub with roller brake.
Titty bar handlebars
Lepper saddle
Brooks grips

I still have to find lights, fenders, do something about the frame colour ( still not sure about it) and so on..
Will keep posting ...

Great job! Did you have it heat treated after welding? I want to make an aluminum frame eventually, and my understanding is that it has to be baked after to re-stiffen the tubing.
I'll have to ask the welder. And I give him a big credit for the great job he did. You can see his builds on facebook, search for Rolap Cycles.

I guess I've seen too much pictures like this. https://goo.gl/images/b8qKL6
Just to be clear, I'm all about the patina look!

The unexpected aspect was that I thought that you would go in the direction of something either anodized or painted bright like your concept image.

It was just a sample, so it would not be all gray. Besides, making patina textures for 3D is to much effort for me, its easier for me to do it irl.
