Is money an object? Purportedly, the finest simulated chrome paint currently available is that found in the Molotow fine art pens. It is available in a 30ml refill size for a little under $30. This is an acrylic ink that can be successfully thinned and airbrushed, but 30ml won't get you very far. If your intended use is reasonably small (say, a console, lamp bezel, or reflector), then check out several of the online reviews of this stuff...the results can be flabbergasting.
