Classic Schrekenhorst design from the 60's and a very rare Western Flyer version of this bike. Bought this on the bay with some suspect pics. THis time it turned out better than expected. Very unique frame design with two sets of top tubes which Sears bikes used. This is the Western Flyer version. The unique aspect of this one is the tank hangs from the lower set of tubes. Most designs have the tank hang from the top set of tubes with the tank positioned between the two tubes. Very cool headlight bezel makes me think of a 58 Buick or a 60 Pontiact tail light area. I am gonna swap out the handle bars for a wider set. Other than that she rides super!

WOW

That is a seriously fun bike...love the colors and the tank/headlight.

Is that the original paint? If so, it sure looks great.

Did they make mulit speed rear hubs or were they all mostly single speed bikes?

What would it take to get those headlights to work?

Thanks for sharing!!!!

I Want One!!

For some reason the original "War of the Worlds" movie popped into my head when I first seen your bike. It must be the tank. That is one AWESOME ride! Cosmic indeed!

Coolest grips ever made too!! I just got a set of them from Gordon. They literally feel like you grabbed a handful of modeling clay and squeezed it to fit your hand. No way your hand can slip off those suckers.,,,,KR

Oh yeah, very cool machine! 8)
