The engineer of this bike path needs to engineer up a sign to let us know how this works. :39:

Alternative remedial measures:
  • Install a net to catch cyclists who can't stop in time
  • Remove a portion of the guard rail
  • Construct a bicycle bridge over the guard rail
  • Paint over the bike lane
  • Install ramps so that cyclists can jump the guard rail
I'm an engineer and this sort of thing can happen when the county is responsible for sidewalks, the city is responsible for bike lanes (or some similar division of responsibility), and people don't talk to each other. Another condition that can be involved is municipal officials avoiding making decisions based on the philosophy that if you never make a decision you can never be wrong. For example, it's possible that someone would have had to approve a gap in the guard rail but was unwilling to do so.

Says they don't sell the plutonium to power it though.

I saw a hack online where you can use a lightning bolt to power it, but you gotta know when/where the lightning is going to strike.
Easy. Get one of those flyers with the cute girl's number on the back.
PS remember to invent skateboards while you are there, I'll thank you later
