finally on its wheels. Well no drop outs arnt done thats a 358 sprint car piston under the rear holding it up off the ground. I dig the tail dragger look. Tried the 426 hemi top fuel piston sitting next to it but sat too high. Also ran into a chain line issue with the upper tube and will need to box the tube in one spot it looks like.

Love the double trouble rim! The bike's got a def cool look. Be anxious to see it rolling!

progress goes boink. Chain runs into the frame hard. Not sure what im going to do and this puts a big wrinkle in the build

so let me go back to the drop outs. They worked out fine although took two shots getting them in before they were right

soooo here is where im sitting pretty dejected. I sat on it ended up going with a 5 1/2 crank got the seat mounted. Then this chain deal hit and ugh. Im going to try to find a roller to run the chain down then up. But any other ideas im all ears

It's hard for me to see on my phone, but it looks like you could put two rollers in.
One at the chain stays and one at the seat stays.

That might be the easiest way to route the chain, but would be a bit serpentine.

Do you have a straight on shot of the drive side?

If there are spacers behind the chain ring, maybe those could come out to make room for the chain. But that might mess up the line to the rear cog.

The roller idea I mentioned may not work, but maybe a notch or divet in the stay tube???

Man I hope you can get this figured out.

Yea i tried switching the cog around and it makes the chain hit the tire badly. I just basically somehow ended up with that chain almost smack dab in the middle of that stay. In fact it might hit less running it to the outside. Im working on a roller for it

Lol that crossed my mind and would actually be pretty neat. Issue i have is that is a pretty structural area to be doing that in. But its a possibility

Don't notch the frame.
Figure out the roller it needs to get the chain under the seat stay. It'll be a lot cleaner that way. The roller on Harlequin T is a foot away from where it rubbed.

Yea notching the frame i was going to box it in but because i basically somehow designed the chain to go smack dab into it im gonna use a roller of some sort

Passing through might look pretty cool.

While i agree and yes that would look rad im just worried about structure. If i wasn't going to ride it all that much id go for the chain through idea however i plan on riding this one quite a bit
