Messing around with a push scooter project, rubber 12" tires, so I can ride with my kids on razor scooters.

Need an extended height stem if this is gonna be close to adult size. Looking for tubing to extend this. Im cheap, anyone think of an available bike part I can cut up? Regular fork steer tube is 22mm ID, Bars are 19 or so ID. Id like to cut the quill, slide a tube over and lengthen it and still have plenty of quill in the fork.

Quill diameter is 20.7.
I have a welder.

Ive already welded on v brake mounts, did a quickie black paint job, and let my daughters sticker bomb it. If anyone cares to see Ill get some pics up.

Didnt get any before pics. Just imagine a crappy repaint over decals and rusty parts.

Welded on mounts for v brakes. Still stuck with angled side wall rims.

Welded up an extension on the quill to make it adult height. Welding is sound but its probably not safe for anything but cruising.

Peeled the decals, sanded, Quick black respray and let my kids sticker bomb it. Done.
