are most definitely not! stopped by the goodwill warehouse on my way back from work today. this was sitting with some other bikes that looked like they were sitting in a field somewhere. never so glad to see this looking like a junker. the manager thought so to and priced it at $10.00!!! so..a 1979 mongoose comp.frame for 10 bucks. not to shabby!

That's a good find. It will be a fun one to clean up and get it rolling again.

got it all taken apart. pretty complete..missing the chain. one grip end is torn off. the araya wheels are in good shape. original tires are still supple and good. messinger seat is torn on the ends but still usable. cranks are real rusty. pedals are rusty and missing reflectors. forks are straight. should clean up good. gonna take it real easy on the original decals. ill post pics when im done.

cleaned up a bit. dont want to do too much, i'll let the next owner do that! can just make out "motomag" on a long gone decal.
