I have been on here for well over a year, so it's past time for an intro. I am a longtime bicycle enthusiast. My favorite bikes are vintage Schwinns and Dynos. I have several Schwinns and a few Dynos in the stable.

Here is my Schwinn American with two-speed red band Bendix rear hub. The man I purchased this bike from said it was a display bike at his father-in-law's Schwinn shop for many years. The condition of the bike backs up his claim. The chrome is like new, the paint is slightly sun-faded, consistant with being on display for years. The paint has a few nicks, and the decals are faded. The seat was a dealer-add item. Schwinn built the American because people wanted an American bike with no foreign-made parts.
