They were just one of those things I stumbled upon during my hours of online searching for various photos of King things.
I cut down the donor frame even more for the parts I'll be using. But here's a question for the more knowledgeable than I......
Is there a name for this other than a shock/spring mount? I need a few of them and need to know if they can be bought or need to be made.
Same thing for for some rockers like these. Where can I get them or will I have to make them?
I'll be using this VELOCITY 650c wheel & Kenda Tire combo on the front.

Not sure if those spring mounts are available, I have made them in the past from steel box tubing and channel.

I'm hoping that I'll come up to ride again before it gets too cold and will bring this to ride instead of my TAXI folder. Part of the design will be that it can break down into a couple sections so it can travel.
Has anyone ever worked with cast aluminum like the joints on these? I'm wondering if I can cut, bend and widen the rear parts that are broken?
I don't know how easy it will or will not be, but I think it mostly depends on how brittle it is.
I know when I had the Silver Queen repaired he said he was surprised at the weld ability of the aluminum for its age.

I think I'm going to create my own from an older road bike aluminum fork I have and something else I haven't figured out yet. I've got a design in my head but haven't found the "right" piece for it yet.
That makes both of us!!
The rockers will be interesting to make. I think I found a scrap piece of aluminum in my parts box that'll be strong enough to make the rockers from.
