Flea Market $20 score on these Lester mags with a Bendix 76 hub, the hub needs to be checked because the hub doesn't roll smoothly like it should since someone messed with it.

Is there a way to date Lester mags or at least anyone who knows the few years they were made because I looked and nothing has much on them?

I have a few more bikes today but I didn't do much getting anything done with them after this busy day.

Ladies Sears 3 speed that I don't know the year of with the numbers 502-47275043863.

Men's Kmart Allpro made by Murray number MO9647812 U5687426, the Murray date was 8/79 and it had Suntour parts U rear derailleur, Spirt front derailleur and the rest I didn't look close enough.

Ladies Trailmate Easy Ride with a date on the Wald Stem of 95 but I only saw 4 numbers on the frame, it has 24 inch wheels but I'm not sure if they are original since there is a gap between the tire of the fork & rear.

The last is a little Huffy Rockit that is a nice little bike but the crank is bad.

Does anyone know if the decals would come off on these Sears bikes like they do on Schwinn's if I wash them so I will know if it's safe to do so?

Thanks, I like that the Trailmate was made in Florida and the bike shop decal on it is from a Lakeland bike shop called Sparki's Old Time Bicycle Shop but apparently they had 2 at the time the bike was sold but I only saw one address last year I checked for local shops near by so I guess since the mid 90's they went down to 1 shop.

I just got a 10-81 Murray X24 BMX Thanks to bikewhorder over at The Cabe minus the rear wheel & tires, I will post my own pics whenever I get the time.

Nice find on the X24. My son has one that he likes to ride.
here it is after we got it rideable
bmx24old.jpg

here it is after a new set of blue gum walls from porkchop
bmx24new.jpg

It had all 3 pads on it but 2 of them was beyond saving

Thanks & that looks great.

I cleaned most of it but it must have been in a pile for years so some chrome is coming off in spots especially the handlebars except for where the pad was so it is a rat BMX, maybe after I get it ready some day I will get it re-chromed then maybe add a blue clear coat on that if something better happens for me.

Id just clean the frame up as good as I could then clear coat it. and strip the blue and spray it with the rattle can anodized blue. were going to switch to a blue viscount seat either put a blue chain on it or strip the chain guard and anodize blue it.

Ok, I can put them together to ride but painting is not my thing which is why I haven't finished my Christine bike since I don't want to mess up the custom paint I spent a lot of money on unless someone where I live wouldn't mind trading one of my other bikes for a paint job.

The last bike I will buy again. I got it to use the wheels on my Christine bike instead of my 24 inch wheels but I just have to find another Lightning Dart tire for the rear. It has an LHR The Special Balloon Tyre on the rear right now and the bike is from 4 1982.

I will get rid of the rest.

I am thinking of getting this 1969 Ford Falcon. I am just giving the link to the pics and if he finally gets the Title I am thinking of getting it.

Nothing great to most people but I got 1 of those Huffy Regatta 3 speed bikes at Walmart today. No pics yet because there has been a lot of rain recently but if it clears up I will take some.

Also.

$99 instead of $199.

I finally got to ride it today and it rides & shifts perfectly. The only thing I really had to do was fix the chain guard to because the crank arm was making noise against the Regatta badge.

I got 6 seats for $20. Most of them Chinese but look good and they have rubber covers like 80's Mesinger & 90's Persons seats used on Murray beach cruisers.

I got a light for photography Medalite Strobe Model PG3001-ML. Sorry no picture but it looks like it was brand new along with it's box.

This Huffy Tulsa today for $0 today too. It needs to be cleaned along with the rear brake cable adjusted and maybe re-greased. Other than what I said before it looks just about new with a scratch on the top tube because the reflector that was on it and I'm guessing it's from 1996 with the numbers on the old Wald front hub.

Here is the pictures of the light. I might sell it to someone who could make a custom bike light or if someone still uses older cameras can use it.

My latest find is 4 door 1965 Ford Custom 500 289 V8 Automatic for $800 including being delivered home. It need some good work including new front & trunk floor pans and other repairs for the body.

Do you still like your Regatta? I bought one of these this year as well and really like it. It cost me $149 on Rollback (aka sale  ) through the website though. None of the stores in my area carry the Regatta.
