    IMG_1052.JPG IMG_1051.JPG IMG_1050.JPG IMG_1049.JPG IMG_1048.JPG I decided to try a second entry.
This is a 1972 Schwinn fastback in kool Orange color. Chainguard is off a girls stardust. Thinking of using a girls seat dye white.
The bike was five speed with stick shifter I will change to coaster brake. Use a high loop sissy bar, mag sprocket, maybe white walls and white grips.
Repaint with factory match kool Orange paint.
    Time is ticking.

I like to do one bike a month. I do not often paint. The prep and painting will be the time burglar on this build.
    Thanks for the encouragement.
This will be my Lagniappe (little extra) bike.

I built my bike "Cousin of Death" in about 4hours out of spare parts hanging in the garage. I know you can do it!

    New Orange.
    But factory correct color match
    Kool Orange.
I think that was a one year 1972 color.
Either year after or before there was a Sunset Orange that looked red in sun and Orange in the shade.
Anyway. This bike is a 72. So kool Orange it is.

Decals applied on top of clear/seal
    More sealant applied over decals
Will do a once or twice over with wet 2000 grit finishing block folllowed by polish.
I have white wall tires. And still on schedule to convert flower seat to white. IMG_1067.JPG IMG_1069.JPG IMG_1068.JPG IMG_1070.JPG

    Thank you.
The kool Orange Schwinn paint is a solid color. Which is a little easier to apply than the candy colors, and you do not have do the aluminum base coat step.
