Just a footnote to the naysayers, I repeat: There was no modification to the frame or the forks. That is a "Bent" 26" springer on a 64' Stingray with only a spacer under the bottom race... I have read that it couldn't be done, and that nothing will line up.

My son. :showingbiceps:

This guy makes that little bike look  dinky!
So, here's the punch list...

1. Tall seatpost and sissy
2. Taller apes and stem
3. Sprocket... crank's in route
4. wheelie bar
5. Paint ( I think we're going Orange )
6. Tires and rims
But we got the bare bones so far!

The scale reminds me of the Schwinn StingRay Runabouts.

Yeah I haven't done much research but I do know after the 64' Stingray came out, they changed the frame some, to create two bikes. From 65' on, the seat stays are a bit longer and more arched and the seat tube was lengthened a bit too, this was now the Stingray, and the original frame was renamed Stingray Jr. So, even though this is a 64' Stingray, it is the same frame as a Jr. from later yrs...

Got a lot done today after school...
schwinn crank with an old sprocket...

add pedals

there's a Park chain tool in there somewhere...

My boy didn't like how the 16" wheel handled so he put on a 20"

^ also check that fat 20 x 2.35 mongoose tire on the back now...

I think the stance is better with the 20 up front too.

Yeah now I'm keeping my eyes open looking for a 20 x 1 3/8 rim and tire. I think that'd look sweet next to that 20 x 2.35

Stole the mockup bars off of Fruit Krate, and the rigged brake cable from ALiEN FiRE, and cruised a couple of blocks down to my GF's house tonight...

I've been doin' some research on this thing...
looks like a Ross Apollo...
but I can barely make out the CC on the head badge...
It's a Duster made for Coast to Coast hardware,
and my boys old mongoose in the backround.
