I'm feeling crazy so here goes MBBO entry #2

Starting with my pieced together 66-68 spaceliner (7tank) frame.

Basically I'm shooting for an offbeat blend of a Sears Spaceliner & Sears Spyder hence the name Space Spyder.

Here's the Photoshop I've done up to show an idea what I'm planning.

------------------------------------------------
Need to get list:
* Spaceliner sprocket hub (any condition as long as it will mount)
* shifter
* Ape hangers
* Grips (thinking glitter gold or green)
* seat (thinking I may make one from a skateboard)
* paint
* vinyl
* 5 speed rear derailleur
------------------------------------------------
Thanks for your help:
@Big Ape for Zodiac gold metalflake vinyl to cover the seat

Thanks.
I'm currently working on the rear wheel (took just over 1" out of the width (changed spacers, narrower jam nuts) now it fits nicely into the dropouts.
Also just cleaned and repacked the bearings and installed a SunTour spoke protector and 5 speed freewheel.
Working on getting the wheel true because its going to be a tight fit with the 26x2.1 Ritchey Moby Bite rear tire.
The front tire is a 26x1.25 Forte Slick City.

Thanks. Well know for sure tomorrow because once I'm done with this truing I'm snapping a pic of it then off to bed I've been awake for around 38 hours straight.

Gotta love how versatile Liners are. Cool wheelset.

Ok its raining again now. But managed to get some done first.

Rear wheel fits like a glove. So now I've go the wheels I'm using fitted.

And now with a fender setting on the rear. I'm thinking about floating it off the rack.

Need to remember the rack & rear derailleur for test fitting.

Me too! Looks awesome! Love the tire rake!

Luke.
Thanks.
Very cool! My Class 1 entry will be a '69 24" Spyder. But it's a straight resto.

Those wheels are funky! I can't imagine how you true them!!

Love the 68-9 spyders. :cool:

The wheels came from this

They are not too bad to true overall but that back wheel was a bit stubborn getting the rim to go way to the drive side.
