Well, I'm listing it for free to eliminate people coming to look at it and say, " I'll let you know" . I have a busy schedule and really don't have time for that, so if you just want to look at it, then I'm sorry but no. If you want to come pick it up for free, than yes. It's a solid frame with the exception of what you see in the picture.

If you can't even give away a prewar Monark Rocket frame, there's no hope for mankind!

Sometimes it's harder to give something away, been there. We have a joke around here that if you stick something out by the road with a free sign on it, it'll sit there for weeks. Stick a sign that says $50 on it, and it'll be gone by morning.

So the Monark Rocket is an indicator species?

    "noun
noun: indicator species; plural noun: indicator species
    1. 1.
a thing, especially a trend or fact, that indicates the state or level of something."

The answer is Yes! A Monark Rocket can be considered an indicator species.

When the value of this bicycle frame, or similar vintage bicycle frame with like characteristics (American made classic), is considered by society to be so minimal as to not be worth anything, then this is an indicator of a disturbing trend. When most in society will not accept a classic bicycle at no cost and instead purchase a poorly assembled new bicycle using cheap material, made by a worker who has no incentive to produce a quality product, then we can easily evaluate the state of mankind. Lucky for us, this frame found a home, so there's still hope for mankind.
