Any recommendations for a decent mig welder that won't cost a arm and a leg. Something that is adjustable other that a high low switch that seems to be to hot or not hot enough like the pos Chicago electric one i have now. It also skips feeding the wire making it hard to weld

Got one of these over a year ago. Works good for light work.

I believe this is a DC unit, at least I get less spatter than with the last cheap century flux wire welder I had. Duty cycle is not bad either. It takes 10lb spools of wire so cheaper supplies. I have heard the wire brand is important, so I bought a spool of "blue devil" wire from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...fl_title_299?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I use an Eastwood mig 135. Can use gas or fluxcore.
I think I paid $289 at the time.
It's very versatile, and adjustable.

Tried posting a link but it won't let me.

Oh I run the .030 wire so need less amps. Melts better, less spatter and increases duty cycle too.
