When I lived down in the hills, most of the old shiners that still had their or their dads cars; had a black car. Usually and old Ford V8.

It was all about stealth, traveling by moonlight and such.

I'd say flat black with a brick red trim and wheels. As long as you don't care if I copy that paint scheme next summer....

I'm not sure where you get them (possibly tent supplies, I don't camp, but I think they make pop-up tents that use encased collapsible poles), but I have a collapsible sail (Windpaddle) for my kayaks that uses some kind of composite for the batten (fiberglass?) that folds pretty extensively into a much smaller circle (48 cm from 132 cm when deployed). If you could get a couple pieces of that rod, you could make a twin tube top tube like your earlier pictures with them and they should be able to fold with the frame. Of course, where you get it and how you anchor it . . .

Somewhat related to the theme, my recently departed grandfather supplemented his iceman income during the US Prohibition with the time-honored entrepreneurial tradition of manufacturing and selling illegal booze. Not quite a bootlegger (though his Packard limo could probably have outrun a few revenuers), but along the lines.

I'm with Luke, really cool with the 2 baskets- cycle truck style. Looks like it should be hauling some moonshine.

All the cars I've seen are black also,or rusty hillbilly style.
The original color is red underneath,maybe I could scratch some black out and give it that banged up look.
Might keep the rims all black or with a small pinstripe in red.
Wont be so stealth with Moonshine Express emblazoned on it.

Duchess I'm fine with it not folding as one bike has a pin missing,which could be easily fixed. I have some stainless steal tubing here that I will use. Was going to build another bike with it,but if all goes well,a liner frame might just find it's way here.

I love it when I get a whole day to myself. I seem to get a lot done.
Worked on moonshine today and grasshopper.
Nippy in the morning,but when the sun came out it warmed up.
Had to make a frame holder to stop the frame from folding. Was going to just weld it,but thought best to make one. This bike had one,but I will use it on Grasshopper.

Next was to bend the bars. I taped them together so that they both would be the same.

Welded the top bars on.

A mock up with the second set of bars on.

Now I am deciding on the boxes. I have wine crates,small and large.

Bit of both

Extra large and small.

Hope to use them and then add more wood to make them look more like this.

I also have another style,which I will pick up tomorrow.

Still have to clean up the welds.
But color will be black.
With some red accents here and there.
Any thing that was chrome,has gone rusty the most part. So will rust them out more and the linseed them.
I think that will give it the rusty rat moonshiner look.

They fit better and look more portioned to the size of the bike.
The big ones would look better on a 26"
Can still make the small boxes a little taller.
The box I will pick up tomorrow is inbetween,but has a lid,so can be locked. Or make it like it has a hidden bottom part.

Use the narrower box on the rear, you'll appreciate the heel clearance when pedalling.

It might look kind of cool with a crate in the front and crate wood inserts on the rear rack. Here's some I did with bead board on my BO9 bike "Pepperbox Special"

On mine I used an old 40s truck ashtray for a storage compartment beneath the rack, I'm sure that's not something readily available in Greece, but an old whiskey bottle could look pretty cool hanging out beneath.

I like this combo of boxes, seems to stretch out the look in a non proportional way. looks longer and sleeker

That crossed my mind when I looked down to where the pedals are suppose to be. Also the box has to be back a little,incase someone with shorter legs wants to ride...

I like that,I was swinging towards a flatbed look in the back.
With a box in the front. If all the weight is in the back,the bike will pop wheelies the whole way. The front of the bike is light.

Yeah not the easiest... No good u bends,but soft bends it does the trick. Beats using a tree. Trick is to do it slowly, I could have arched it more near the seat. It will do how it is.

I'm with him, small crates. And for your build, I think the solid sides work well; you want to conceal the contents as a bootlegger, right?

Can't remember, are you going with some kind of panel between your new sets of bars in the front? Maybe a 'cover' business like Funk's Dry Goods.... *there's a joke in there somewhere*

Have been trying to refit a axle into the front wheel,so it fits.
The axle is fat,and not much space to grind down for it to slot in.
On the back no worries.

Maybe I might be able to do it.?

Also this is the other box I was thinking about? This one I can lock.
