That's some awesome stuff Hugo.

I've got Klunkerz on DVD and have watched it about 3 times now...very cool movie.

Billy actually joined the forum a few months ago and made a quick post in one of the Klunker threads we had going.

I think this trip of yours has totally canceled out all of the bikes deals we have come across in the last 2 years.

@ Firewalker: the Fat Boy is a normal production bike, I believe.

@ Rat Rod: Cool. But I suspect you guys will soon get the advantage, again. It's an Iowa thing... :)

@ cman: we were told that the bikes would be shipped to us 8) but I'll believe when I see it.

@ nickname: that's cool. All it needs now is Daisy Duke!

To finish off this chapter, here's a crappy video shot at the test lab, where they had a bunch of machines stressing frames and components basically around the clock. The engineer told us that the actuators on this one cost 100.000USD each, and that the pump was another 30.000USD! It makes the 2.000USD frame they're trying to break seem cheap. :|

I'm glad some folks had as much fun as I did. Thanks for all the support. Don't by shy about posting reviews of KLUNKERZ at places like Amazon.com and IMDB.com. It would really help me out. BTW: The bike was built by Alan Bonds. He was Gary Fisher and Charlie Kelly's roommate in the Summer of '76 when it was HAPPENING! Also, I wasn't one of the original guys, I just like 'em a lot. Come by and visit http://www.klunkerz.com.
Ride on,
Billy

Oh yeah, that bike in front of my and Charlie is my '82 Stumpjumper. I put on the brown Avocet saddle so I could find my bike in that sea of replicas that was floating around.
