I had a really great time building this bike.
Most of it was done on a week of vacation that I had a while back...when the rest of the family was not on vacation..hahahaha.
Couldn't think of a sweeter way to spend my time...at the time.

It rides great.
I've been rolling it daily.

I'd like to thank my good friend Hank, of Helotes Bicycle in Helotes, Texas for all his support in my irregular doings with bikes.
Thanks Hank! :D

Here's my build thread.

Rock on, then!

EXCELLENT!

Thanks!

What...like staying tight and in place?
It's working very well!
No worries!......after tightening the bolt(s) to it's limits. :p
Nice ergonomics for my 6' bod.

I've had to adjust my style of riding so I don't jerk the handle bars out of whack though.
I've grinded more clearance on the goose-neck and really put the cheese to the bolt (aluminum spacers used) and used some Loc-tite.
It's been holding up nicely, but it's definitely a weak spot.
May have to go more moderno with the stem.
When I got it, it had a 4-bolt, BMX looking one.
Not crazy about those...for this bike.

Maybe some different bars in the future, but for now I'm diggin' the apes.

Thanks Rat Rod.
I hope that first gif doesn't give anybody seizures. :p

Love it! how is that seat post holding up?

i guess I was talking about the bend without a gusset. I would be afraid it would keep bending with my weight
The frame seems fine and the post is chromoly...and I'm just under 190lbs...today.

i am so glad i didnt buy that "bike" it went to a better home. it looks awsome cant believe its the same bike.the only way i know its the same bike is the "pau" tank on it and i like the spacer rather than the washers.
whats hank think of it?
nice job on fixing those rusted rims....lol!

good job!
