I have this little distraction to work on while waiting for bmx tires to arrive. It’s a 1990 Nishiki Alien. Curb find. It had no fork or headset. It probably was suspension, but I had my shop install a rigid. Since this picture was taken I’ve serviced rear derailleur and brakes. The bike was not ridden much. It’s very light. So far I’m into it for $120 including two new tires and brake pads. I might sell it.

I thought the same. It’s a border line cult status bike. I really don’t need another bike, and I rarely mountain bike, but it’ll be hard to not keep it for a few years anyway.

Done!! Finally. Jeez I thought this thing would never be off the stand.

This is only my second bmx. I like it. It fits. It’s smooth and quiet.

Basically I just did a preservation, not a restoration. Almost no modifications. I’d like better pedals at some point. And maybe a Schwinn handlebar pad?

I’ll post pictures in the Finished section ASAP.
