i was surprised at all the AWESOME talent , lots of very good creative ideas , i picked three bikes that really caught my eye , i thought all the silly bunny crap!!! and threads with endless meaningless posting was a real distraction , when i look at a build i want to see builders working on bikes and having a game plan not having somebody else decide for them ,and not stupid posting of bunny rabbits that have nothing to do with a serious build , i thought it was one of the best buildoffs we have had , and in alot of ways the worst because of all the SILLY JUNK , which was the MAIN REASON i pulled out !!! congrads to all the serious builders here on this site that do awesome work I sallute you :!: :!: :!: :!: Tin machine
i couldnt agree more!

Last year we had 1341 votes which means 447 voters.
I wonder how many votes will be cast this year.

The number of builds that were started is about the same (around 200) and the number of finished bikes is only about 6 more (106), but I bet there are more forum members now and I believe we are also seeing a bump in members that are driven here from the Facebook page.

It will be interesting.

Is there a limit to how many times you can click REFRESH in a week of voting???? :p

After mucho deliberation, my votes have been cast. I've had my sights on a couple of my fellow builds...and really didn't waver from that. Like others, I based my choices on bikes I would like to have in my garage...asides from TWENTY2 (I wish I could have voted for myself, but common decency wouldn't allow it)

Thanks for all the inspiration!

Well I voted, and of course I had to tell myself,,,,,dang .forgot that one and this one. at least the stress is over. At least I have no shameless plug about voting for #RHUBARB RAIDER# none whatsoever, nothing about checking the circle next to 77 on the list, I wouldn't do such a thing. Now time to get back to the family before they disown me

First, I gotta say I really need to look and re-look at the bikes before I vote. It's incredible how many incredibly, multi talented people are regular participants of this community and it's incredible how many awesome bikes are entered in the competition.

Secondly, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't say that I really enjoyed being part of this community since I joined a bit over a year ago. Bikes are fun...funky, cool, beautiful vintage bikes especially. Even though some of the posts went a bit long on beatin a dead horse  , it was in keeping with a fun environment. If this site was just nuts n bolts n stodginess, it wouldn't be fun for the vast majority. And I really believe the vast majority are here for fun and I also believe that was the original intention when this site was created: to participate, interact, share knowledge, learn and above all, have fun.

You spin me right round, baby
right round like a record, baby
Right round round round..... :? :?

Ok now I need a stiff drink  ,talk about hard work...To pick only 3 ???? To many great builds, after careful consideration, narrowing the list down to 10,then rethinking,"wot would look great in my bedroom' n 'wot would make head turns'( I know vain right) !!!
The list went down to 6(not easy)...I then went back to the build history of each bike and then noticed a lot of extra work that doesnt show up in photos...
In the end I went for 1: That was cool ,2: Made me smile ,3:Looked .... hot !!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who voted for me,I would like to also thank..Sigh !!! (trophy in hand)...
Ooooops :!: :!: :!: was I just practicing my winning speech out loud

See you at the end of the red carpet !!!!

My feelings exactly - thanks for saying it. Good luck to all the builders

Great job to all of the builders! I feel like a kid in a candy store looking at all of the bikes! Now I gotta work on mine. Thanks for the inspiration folks! :D

Lets see...

I like the build thread of that one, the color of that one, the frame on that one, the details of those two, the stance of that one, The one that's out of the box, the one built by the member who complimented my bike, how clean and simple that one is, the way they did that one thing... Dang it! Let me get back to you on which ones I picked... :p

boy, that was tough. Voting three beauties out of 106 is a missoin impossible.

but, hey, the bottom line is: this whole page is about cool and creativ people who love bikes. For me, everyone here is a winner.

Almost 300 votes so far. Only 1000+ to go!
No surprises so far.
Man this is fun!!!

What an awesome build off!!! Just look at all of those wicked bikes in both the finished and unfinished sections!!! WOW!!

I apologize for a LOT of the silliness that I threw out there this year in the name of fun, but I will not apologize for being a supportive build and Build Off cheerleader and back page bumper.

I also know that there aren't enough silly wabbits out there that could cause me to drop out of the biggest show on earth. That's as silly as a leprechaun crying about someone stealing his lucky charms.

PEACE BUILD BROTHAS!!!! congRATs to you all!!! It has been an honor building with you!!!

What a year ! ! A lot of great builds floating around the site this year. Finished and un-finished alike. All of you make this one of the best projects that I tackle all year.

Chris, Your bike was one of the bikes I kept going back and looking at. That's what I kinda hate... You could be everybodies 4th favorie bike and never get a vote... But your bike is really cool and is more of a true rat than mine. Great build and terrific work on the patina, Rg

I'm glad I was only watching and not building this year!

It gets harder and harder to choose only three! So, I went with a 26" wheeled bike, a 24" wheeled bike and a 20" wheeled bike to 'spread the love around'.

Seriously, great group of entries this year, I challenge ANY other bicycle forum to come up a more diverse and creative display of member-built rides!

Cheers to all who participated and help keep this passion of ours alive and spinning.

Good luck!

Dr. T

The first two sport were pretty easy for me. Mosby and MoFaux. Such creativity is Mosby's raiders and unusual and out of the box. And the level of painting in MoFaux- that thing looks like it should be a pro retro sci-fi movie prop.

But there were sooooooooo many other solid builds, I was at a loss for third. Finally I settled on Full Tilt boogie. My eye just stopped there every time I was scrolling.

Congrats to everyone!!!!

Building '20-inches of Awesome' was such a treat when I had so many talented builders for inspiration. Reminded me of playing in the sandbox with my friends as a child... only more RUST!
