I just received my Shelby frame in the mail today, so why not enter the build off.
I've wanted to build a Shelby bike to go with my Shelby GT500KR.

I was going through my parts tonight. I believe I have enough parts to build the bike, I'll mock it up a few times to see what works best. I don't want to show my hand for a few more days.

Great lines on both Shelbys!

I had the time tonight to throw a few parts at the old Shelby.

I'm going with an aluminum rims to match the car, to stay old style I'm running a skip tooth setup. Carlisle Lightning Dart rear tire.

Bearing cups are shot, never seen a pair with gouges like these.

Put a mockup crank in to get the chain length correct.

I guess I'm really getting tired, I'm starting to like the ugly green color.
The frame has a LOT of dents, what do ya'll think leave the dents to show the bikes history or remove the dents, and loose it's history?

Thanks for all the great comments.

No it's a real bad repaint. It's tough though, it laughs at carburetor cleaner.
I believe this is what it originally looked like.

This is the aluminum rim that I'm going to use drop center in the front and a wider aluminum flat rim in the rear.

To tie the bike in with the car the bike is going to have a Shelby vin. tag with the bike vin.# The tag I'm going to use is for a 68 Shelby the one pictured is for a 65 Shelby.

Not sure if I'm going to use the 428 cobra jet emblems, at 40.00 ea.

Great theme to go with...Looks like its all coming together.
Interesting to see the color under the green.
Mo history revealed the better...Dings and all.
