I wrote this on my Instagram page and thought I'd share it here as well.
"It is so rewarding to take something neglected and give it new life and purpose. These two bicycles are from a time 60 years ago when things were built to last. Built by American companies that took pride in every last detail and I take pride in building them again. Yes I could just go to Walmart and get a brand new bike and ride the same day probably cheaper than fixing these but there's something about reviving old vintage stuff that just gets me excited. It's like rolling art. It's having what no one else has. "Built not Bought" is more than just a cliche it's a way of life. It's preferring to build it with your own two hands. It's a dying breed of Craftsman. It's a statement. It's refusing to be a sheep and going against the crowd. It's being unique. And that is what makes it cool. This is Rat Rod Bikes."
