Was thinking I get to long beach for a ride and swap tomorrow... Always fun slap a ride together...
I'll start with this have to get some work done today so maybe I'll have time finish some parts for it before the morning... Hope I can make it, if not I guess I have an other bike:)

Frame I happily acquired from our own @rrtbike and some more are on the way from him soon he was good and noticed I may need bearings for the rollfast and sent them with the frame...
Fork is off a girls cruiser of the mystery brand variety, I love the heavy legs almost as big as the head tube...
I'll post up later tonight when I get a chance to "clean" it up and assemble it.
Here are some parts, not sure if I'll have time to shoot the forks today, I'd like run fresh white front end with the vans... But can hit em later...

not sure if I'll run the crank or go 3 piece, I have a white and gold sitting around here...
Thanks and let's see these builds guys and gals!!

Also I will never try paint prep cranks again... There is a reason they are finished as they are... Pain in behind to metal chase out castings... So those are officially one offs from me.

Ole rite, so get off the computer and get too building ! :forum:

Well was planing part pulling and assemble.. build it is...sorry didn't get better shots, I cut open a gap between the fork end caps and cleaned them up before zapping em and chasing with 80 to feather out the weld... I'll shoot 2 good coats of fill primer to see what's left if it's clean I'll hit it with light coat of etching then single stage white... That'll do up the front all white with a stem I had primed...

Old stampings get covered in tape to try let them read under finish still... I sand blaster everything first to knock anything loose free and followed up w a scotch disk..

I got picky, chose to mold out the welds and fixed a few gouges on the legs. Shot the worked areas in more filler, running out of light to paint, had work on a base for a sculpture at same time.
Calling it a night on fork, I'll shoot it tomorrow, looks like i won't get it done for morning ride, but im happy with results so far.
Headed back my studio to work on the frame and 3 piece.. I'll get it assembled tomorrow.

Fork and stem got color... An optimistic set of bars jumped in as well

Need get some work done for an hour or so and then i'll head out to start hanging parts...

Fun with harbor freight $10 guns... Just don't try start near the part they splatter but I have no trouble getting acceptable results from them... Single stage paint rocks for bike builds... Even if used as a sealer coat.

Man down... Stem took a digger when pulling it off the wire.. I'll try finish up a brushed one if I get that far tonight.. I'll re shot the white stem in am. Really liking the juxtaposition of the clean components vs the frame... Only problem is now I want some gum wall whites for it I think..

So I'm having a paint fumes moment... It's amazing how mutch stuff I can misplace in 500 sqft... I'm defiantly going need wait for the stem, looks good with a brushed top half. I need to trim the fork threads also...
But I have a three piece conversion set up and a white and gold wheel crank set up... Gold bar ends and some other stuff...
Good thing I sorted it all and made sure put it aside..
So that's tonight's mission find that dry fit, pull and polish frame... I needed to hang the fork let it keep curing and get it out of my hands....
I'm happy think it'll be quite a looker soon...
Have wheels coming from @ind-chuckz some nice black w heavy spoke stainless alloys..
I'll need a seat and rubber, but that's easy and luxury stuff:p

So I'm new to bikes shipped in... Boy oh boy did I not account for that white and wet stuff u all get at times of the year.. out here I can usually cut stuff with a compound and work other areas w a cleaner wax... This had some texture going on that prevented getting an even luster or tone... Not an issue... Heavy corrosion got first passed with some 1k grit to kiss down the high points... Followed by a quick run with 1500..
I'm really pleased with the reult and look.
Was really nit bad in time either.

When doing high luster finishes on stainless especially, it's important to use a lubricant. I try use whenever the situation allows... So basically not when it'll get paint...
For cutting stainless we use pig fat... Nasty..
But beings I wanted some lusted and not to over work the frame, I use Johnson's paste wax instead of water.... I just worked the frame till it had a nice glaze and am cutting it back as I go...
I may oil it, but it won't need.
I'll defiantly be trying this again.

So went from beach strand bum to I guess I may as well do it right... Color that's come back and distressed finish over the rougher parts look great...
Bummer part is I won't be able hang in refinished parts or tell drive me crazy... Guess I need paint some hubs and hoops....
Who does printed gold foil decals thanks....
