@Toeslider , usually the 'unboxing' or 'reveal' of the bike builds happens on the first day of the build off; May 1. Also, that is the day you can create your build thread on the actual BO forum. Otherwise you'd have to start a build thread in the Builds forum, and then transfer it when May 1 comes around.

Of course, you could always put a couple 'teaser' photos in this thread....:nerd:
Here's one for you.
I'll be using the frame from my first rat build.

I sold 3 bikes last weekend. My 2017 “BO12 Hawthorne” was included... somewhat sadly. That makes 8 in the last 6 months. I avoided buying any at our last swap meet. I was very tempted, but resisted, lots of good projects there.
Finally starting to feel comfortable with letting them go. Comes May 1st we’ll see what happens.

I will probably take another shot at the '51 DX that I've tried to build in two previous build offs, but just keep amassing parts for. One of these times, I will actually do something more than make a stack of cool parts, right? Or maybe I could build the Astroflite with the TRM tank that I've been holding onto, or perhaps rebuild my unfinished TSP Cyclefarm Oldster with the girder fork?

I toyed around with the idea of a WWI Cycle Truck build, but then I started thinking about the Trek Rail CNC that I got, and then my Silver King Hextube frame came in.:crazy::confused: I don't know what I am building now. I am leaning towards the Trek Rail though.

I'd really like to see a Trek Rail that doesn't look like it had a bunch of "normal" cruiser bits bolted to what is such a striking frame. The production ones always look like a mainline Trek cruiser with a frame swap, if you get me.

Let's see... decisions, decisions...

The TSP Fatbull is almost done, so it's not really an option. I was never able to get the paella pans to work properly as wheel discs, though. I probably should order a set from Mooneyes and finish it up before Spring is over.

Maybe I'll buy a Schwinn Kokomo for parts? :D:p
EDIT: Actually, those kokomo wheels would probably look great on a Rail, but I am thinking in a different direction.

I was thinking that a set of 57 or 65mm wide hoops with round holes drilled in them between the spokes, fatbike style, would be cool. You could call it "Holey Moley" or something.
EDIT: Add some kind of billet aluminum girder fork and cranks, and it could be "CNC Crusik Factory". Feel the vibration...

I'll most likely be doing this one...

It's a Murray Monterey, from 1982 I believe. I also picked up a pair of brown Fat Frank tyres that I'll most likely use on it. So now I'm trying to decide whether or not to paint it and if so, what colour.

Glen.

I'm back! Been away for a while but I'm nearing completion of my truck restoration / refurbish so this build off is happening and I'm building something this time. I have it all planned out as usual but I'm gonna keep you all in the dark till it all starts. Only thing I will say is it will have big fat tires.
