Clancy,

those Rat tails are awesome!
great Idea! I still have a smile on my face..

Glad the fork issue is all worked out.
That's the best shot of the bike I have seen..
all that work you did on the lighting really shows through.

it's one cool looking bike my friend!

peace,
Kev.

Kev, thanks for the comments. The subtle cheesy accesories on the Black Rat are fun to think off. I might have one more in the works.

Last little thing for the bike. Went to Jack in the Box and ask for a antenna topper. Ripped off Jack's face and and painted my own design. Mounted to a fiberglass rod and attached to the bike.

I think I am finished with the bike. The bike is not the typical Rat ,but just how it worked out. I had a Grey Ghost project bike I sold but I have always wanted to ride a Krate. So I decided to make my own. I knew better than trying to do this to a real one, plus this is more my size.

Parts tally-

seat from Dumpster
sissy bar part purchased, part from wifes closet.
fork part original fork, part bmx fork
Headbadge - restaurant supply store.
Wheels stole from bmx bike and another bike.
Lights- ebay purchase with new LEDs
Handlebars- ?????
Whip/Ball- Jack in the Box
Grips- Raleigh parts bike and dollar store.
Sprocket- Stole from a Breeze for that Krate look.
Pedals- BMX
Hubshiner- Stuff

That being said, this has been a fun build and extremely satisfying. I am going to take pics this weekend (75 degrees). I might even ride it to work instead of my regular commuter bike.

FINISHED. Final pics are posted Finished Thread.

Troy, PBR bottles don't work upfront, unless you don't mind a few shards of glass.

Black on Black on Black on Black!

I love it!
The tails,
The Tail Lights
The Fork / Sissy bar extension

Kev.
