this was my first cruiser build i was still learning :) but sadly she was taken from my garage one night. 4 or so years go by and bam i finaly decided i want another bike. i purchased (5/18/2018) a frame and tank combo from Gasbike.net along with some springer forks . i didnt take a first pic of the frame and tank before i painted it sadly but its aluminum i promise. Painted (5/28/2018) :)

(6/20/18) The engine kit has been ordered along with the correct stem and seatpost clamp, performance throttle, brake levers, kill switch, grips, seat and seat post i also found some foam im gonna use as some anti vibration kinda damper in between the metal parts like the gas tank and mounts ect. and heres the pictures of the bars i ment to put in the last post

more to come :) she is coming together smoothly and ive settled on that punisher theme its gonna make the build so much more appealing to me -Sly

Nice work so far - but I foresee a problem looming.....
Here's a heads up....I already built a boardie using the same frame/tank/motor combo as you, and there was no way I could get the motor to fit into the frame with a high compression Fred head fitted. There just wasn't enough room to fit the plug lead over the plug without the plug cap fouling the frame. Answer was to completely remove the frame's front engine pad to lower the engine sufficiently and create a little more room. And - yep, there's more - lowering the motor has the knock-on effect of limiting the size of the chain ring you can get away with fitting.
Just sayin....

thanks for the heads up man the local motorized bicycle group has kinda said the same thing but there are ways of getting it in there :) the guys at arrow get them to fit all the time heres there pic of the same frame with there exhaust. i know its gonna be tight but ha who doesnt like it tight? ;P -Sly

Not being a pain, but that pic you show doesn't address the issue I raised. I didn't say the exhaust wouldn't fit. And your pic doesn't show the zero clearance twixt (love that word) plug and frame's straight bar. Take it from me, you won't get a motor with an after-market high compression head to fit - or at least not the h/c head I installed onto my motor. There simply isn't room to manouvre the plug cap onto the plug. I tried every which way to solve this issue - but in the end there was no other option than to remove the frame's front motor mount to lower the motor. Believe me, I sure didn't opt to take such a drastic step for the heck of it.
An alternative approach is to stick with the slant plug head you pictured on your motor, then you won't have any problem. Otherwise you may yet regret painting your bike's frame this early in the build prior to doing a lot more 'fit-up' of the motor. I built my entire bike - and encountered my share of fit-up problems - before tearing it all down prior to painting it. Paint would have been scratched and chipped to heck otherwise.
Hopefully the pics I've attached show how my Indian Tribute boardie's motor - with high compression head installed - had to be lowered to provide sufficient room for the spark plug's hard plastic boot to fit over the plug. Even with the frame's front motor mount removed and the motor installed lower, there's only just enough room to fit the plug lead.
If you stick with your Fred head plan and do manage to make it all fit - I'll be the first to give you a pat on the back.
For now, I'm watching this build with interest.

Ha! No idea if that boost bottle does anything other than fill the space between the rear tyre and seat tube nicely.... I've only ever ridden this bike, my first ever build, with the boost bottle installed from the git go, so I've nothing to compare it to. Very happy with how this bike performs, so no complaints.
Wish a slant plug, high compression cylinder head had been available when I built mine... would have saved a bunch of work.
Liking your chain tensioner set-up.

6/28/18 just a little status report from the tinkering ha. perfomance throttle has arrived and has been installed the motor has been pulled back apart to paint the Jug and wait for the covers and head that are on the way :) getting closer and closer i cant wait to hear it purrrrr! :rockout:

6/29/18 my grips, stem, seat post, and seat show up. but i had to modify one of the grips so it would accept the throttle tube that was pretty easy with a dremmel then i threw some paint on the clamps and mounted the bars. after putting the seat together and putting it in there i didnt like how high it sat so i took a hacksaw and well bam it looks and feels amazing im starting to get antsy i really wanna go ride this baby :) - Sly
