Re: SpaceLiner: DevilWing - Finishing Touches (pgs. 5+6)

Wow, man. That's sick! I love the headbadge. The whole bike is just awesome!

dude, that is sweet! perfect.

VERY nice build, this bike makes an impression the second you see it! I have a chrome spaceliner and they are hard to customize and look right. Seems like every part I put on is removed the next day. Good luck!

Great job and good luck in the home stretch. It looks like the little state of CT. put up a pretty good showing in this build!

Took DevilWing out for a cruise on the Farmington Canal Trail. Finally got some riding pics and video:

It was a good ride. However, one snag. The left pedal disintegrated about a mile into the ride:

I just put the pieces in my pocket and rode another dozen miles on just the spindle.

I have to replace the pedals already but I am looking forward to putting dozens, hundreds, thousands more miles on this thing.

Awesome looking bike! Realy like way how all the components match! :D

Where did you purchase those tires? What brand are they? And are they available in europe?

I was having a hard time trying to get the broken pedal back together, and I wanted to take the bike for a ride with a working pedal and not just a spindle, so I found a replacement with the pedals I pulled off the girl's higgins I am working on. This pedal spins smoothly.

I kinda like the way it looks. Now the question is whether to replace the left pedal with the matching one, or to leave them mis-matched.

There's a long story about what happened to this bike after I sold it to Skip. It was in a hurricane on Cape Cod, then looted from the storm-destroyed house, then found randomly being ridden around in New Haven. They were able to get it back and I guess it's been handed around between the New England Rat Rodders.
