I decided to try a springer fork and bought something listed as heavy duty for motorized bicycles. It had mounts for V brakes on the truss rods. Figured I'd put it on my Build-Off bike (52 Pickup) since it has front brakes.
Anyway, today the weather was great so I thought I would mount it on a coaster brake bike just to see what it would take to get it on a bike and adjusted.
Is common for these things to be out of square? No matter what I did, rearranging the forks and trusses, tightening and loosening bolts, I could not get the axle parallel with the main pivot bolt. Is there some special voodoo to getting these forks set up? LOL
In the photo you can see the main bolt is at an angle and the spring yoke looks cockeyed too.
