I allmost finished one build today.
Frame and fork 20'-30's german roadster, handlebar from same area armybike.
Cleaned to bare metal and clearcoated.
Grips (cotton ribon) and saddle (soviet, from 60's) coated with brown schellac.
Hubs (Velosteel coasterbrake, perewar Torpedo's knockoff), rims, cranks, all bearings, chain etc. are new.
Tires brown Rubena Cityhopper (52-622).

Hard to build to an era, easier to buy new!
I have to ask what bottom bracket you used with the cranks?
I love this bike!
 
Originally bikes like this with "thompson type" bb - 40mm press-fit bearingcups and cones on the chaft.

I replaced this with 40mm pressfit BB sealed unit for cottered crancks.
