Progress so far. The wheel is just there in place to set the fork leg width.

Got to play in the shop today working on the triple tree top. 1/2" thick plate steel may be overkill, but couldn't pass up the free scrap cut off from my metal supplier.

Welded 5/8" bolts into the top ends of the fork tubes and bolted it all up. A little bit of shaping on the top plate still to be done.

Next on the list, work on the driveline.

The start of reinforcing the frame to prevent taco shelling. It was a little too flexy. Still needs a little more.

Worked on the springer most of the day today.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Welded four 5/8" nuts to four washers, then added 1/2" washers to those. Welded 1/2" threaded rod to the machined 1/2" plate steel. 1/2" plate to the main fork assembly. Plate steel with threaded rod then washer nut combo then porch swing spring, another washer/nut, through the main fork plate, washer/nut, spring, washer/nut. Topped of with 1/2" nut.

Welded 5/8" nuts into end of fork legs and bolted them on. Rocker arms are the first item on tomorrow's to do list.[IMG]

Definitely no worries about wheely-ing here with all the metal up front.
