Macgyvering 13/16" socket, threadless road stem, carriage bolts and Busch beer can shims together to get some me steering going.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

My trip to the hardware store for some longer carriage bolts also yielded some nut and bolt covers from the plumbing aisle. A little black paint and they'll be perfect.[IMG][IMG]

Handlebars fabbed up and installed. 33" wide... definitely need some trimming.

Just need to get my coworker who has a powder coating system to get my chainrings and crankset both black and I can finish this thing up. Oh, and my yellow KMC chains arrived yesterday too.[IMG]

Chain colour match couldn't get any closer, I'd say.

It's coming together Troy! You might want to keep those bars long to help control that pendulum you call a fork !

Shakedown ride today. Realized I need a country block to turn this thing around. And yes, it's somewhat of a pedal scraper. :)
Just a few more finishing touches, mainly cabling up the brakes, popping on the handgrips and touching up some paint chips from errant tools during assembly... Doh!!

Your ride is quite awesome as well Jaypem. And you have that right with all the custom work in this buildoff. The things that folks come up with from what other people cast off as junk is just amazing.. the core principle of "rat rodding" on full display.

Capped the front end nuts and bolts. Routed the front brake cable through the headset (a la freestyle BMX styling.)[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Crazy ride man, still coming to terms with the fact you actually put pepper on it!
