Has anyone widened a BB and 3 piece crank axle? I’ve done the BB but have never tried to widen an axle for one.

Yep.Cut and sleeved the axle with 7/8" OD pipe.
This was my first one ever, and as you can see, I didn't line up the ends, so I had to cut it apart and line it up before re-welding.
