Thanks Steve. I first thought they were turkeys then when I seen several circling above I realized they were vultures. So maybe turkey vultures.

Got lucky with the dogs.In the video where I have my water bottle out it was in anticipation of another dog. Wife had a chunk of her shoe taken out by a dog along this route another time.

The first buildings that appear in video are the post office and a church in another town near to here.

Re: LocoJoe's Most Recent Ride (1 Down Mom's Bucket List)

Postby aka_locojoe on Fri May 11, 2012 7:47 am

One of my Mother's motivators to get on a bike again was so she could ride with her Great-Grand-Kids. After practicing a couple times over the past couple weeks yesterday was the day. Mom, Dad, myself and the 3 kids all rode to McDonald's for supper. The ride was pretty uneventful which was a relief and once home we rewarded ourselves with Twinkies.

If it's not been rusty what good is it?
NOS is cool, but rust is life.

Thanks all for the comments.

We're now on the road to find new places to ride. Here are just a few of many bike art installments in Lincoln Nebraska. It appears to be a pretty bike friendly city.

Thanks Skip. Cman - North. Trying to get to some states we haven't ridden in yet. Got a late start though do to an unanticipated trip to the dentist on Monday after I had a tooth break last week. It'll be a short trip.

Here's video from yesterday's ride http://youtu.be/c3VkvGdI4rU

Thanks MplsCoaster. I think there's like 70 of those art bikes in Lincoln. I wish we'd had more time to go in search of them all. Those are just the few we stumbled on to.

Next stop Grand Forks North Dakota. Video... http://youtu.be/uqv_34tyq5o

I think North Dakota makes the 35th state we've ridden in.

Few photos...

Great video Randy. I've never been to Grand Forks, MN. Many wind farms in western MN.
Remember some college mates that had family farms flooding there in 1996-97, bummer
Can't believe you're not going to come to the Minneapolis and visit me :(
They actually rent tandem recumbents in Mpls
If you are in town, PM me for sure
