I HATE, HATE, HATE the term for Vehicles, however, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it for bikes. I'm picky in my own tastes though.
Bike, you will like it.

Same here Buck.It got worn out on cars and trucks, and motorcycles to an extent.I like the creative minds and talent some here have.

Perhaps you could change the logo to say RAT&ROD BIKES, while keeping the current url. That would expand the title enough to cover all that we do here, while still keeping continuity with the past. Take the bikerodder domain and either point it here or if you dare start yet a third website dedicated to custom and altered frame, candy painted, polished and plated, high $$ cruisers to go with the 2 sites that already keep you busy.

First thing I noticed when browsing this sight before actually joining was the diversity.Within minutes of browsing I saw Musclebikes,Ballooners,Ratrods,Custom stretches,Motorized and the undescribable. It seems the name/term Ratrod hasnt harmed a thing and I wouldnt change a thing.
I feel this sights success is its diversity and welcoming attitude to all things bicycle. In comparison I joined the Cabe made one or two posts, felt I was in the company of many elitists and did not belong and never went back.

Just my 2 cents

Oh--and to all the Cabe fans- I own, ride, enjoy original ballooners and the like, but i refuse to throw away a rusty or mismatched frame that can make a rideable custom bike.

okay, okay one more edit LOL--another thing is ,,,the guy with rusty junk can make a bike every bit as spectacular as the guy with super paint and parts and get every ounce of the same respect!!! This is a very rare thing and this websight has achieved it-WOW!

Man I've been away for too long. Do we still have the occasional "What is a rat rod bike?" debate once and a while? Rat is different, rat is what you make of it and it can be anything. That kind of laidback attitude, openness and the wild creativity that it sparks is what got me here a long time ago. So I'm very proud to tell people, when they ask me "what kind of bike is that?", it's a Rat and send them here for more.

Steve it's your call but I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks again for a great place to chill.

I love the name, it fits the site, it fits us in that we don't even (aren't allowed to  ) define the term here, and we definitely haven't been definted by the name here. To me, this is the friendliest bike forum I've found, and I'm staying, I don't care if you change the name to Pinkbike.com... wait, nevermind, that's been done.

From the looks of all the ***** that are being posted lately, I think Peatbog has convinced Steve to rename the site Rabbit Rod Bikes.

It's yoothgeye's fault. I can't prove it, but I know somehow it is.
